Other than searching for free, interesting books on Kindle and downloading them yourself, you can find already-downloading Kindle books at your local library.

If you are a Prime member and join Kindle Unlimited, your borrowing limit will increase to 20 titles.

How to set up Kindle book sharing with your Amazon Household

• On your Kindle device, select the household sharing option from the menu in your library and select Add New Person at the bottom of the screen.
• Invite your family, and click Add Adult. You can also add kids aged 12 and below by selecting Add Children. Once you add them, they will get an invitation to their email addresses. You will be required to follow the instructions on the webpage to agree to share. Then choose the content you want to share.
• Select the check box below each household member’s name to add the book from their library

5. Borrow a book

Borrowing has limitations, as you will be required to accept it within 7 days and it will be available for 14 days, thereafter, the book will not be available to lend again.

How to borrow a book from another Kindle Owner

• The e-book owner has to lend it to you first. The lender will have to visit the Amazon website, click on content, and go to the book you want to borrow.
• The lender will then click on more actions just next to the title of the book.
• Then he will click on the loan title. At times, the option is not available, an indication the book cannot be loaned.
• Have the lender click on the more actions next to the title of the ebook, which is denoted by an ellipsis.
• If the book is available for lending, then you will have several fields to fill. Fill in the required fields detailing the borrower’s email address, then click on Send Now. The email address should be their name and not their Kindle address.
• Once you receive the email, click on the tab indicating Get Your Loaned Book Now.

Once you find out which library you want to borrow a book from, you visit their website and search for the title of the book you want to borrow.

Then sign into your Amazon account, select your device, and or the Kindle application you want to send your borrowed book to.

If you are using a Kindle, connect it to the internet, and you will receive the book automatically if your Kindle’s Whisper sync functionality is already activated.

If it fails, you will be required to manually synchronize your Kindle.

To do this, tap on your Kindle menu and tap the setting tabs, and it will give you a submenu. Click on Sync my Kindle, and you will get the book thereafter.
