Internet penetration in Kenya has made the country a haven of online opportunities, and one of the fastest-growing industries, accelerated by the high internet speeds in the country, is the forex industry. Through Forex, we have seen lots of self-proclaimed millionaires. And my question today for this post is, are these young millionaires the richest Forex traders in Kenya? Or, are there other successful Forex traders in Kenya we don’t know of?

And, if it is not true that they all made their money trading Forex, how else did they make their money in the industry?

Here’s my list of Kenya’s most successful forex traders and how else they might have made their money.

Richest Forex traders in Nairobi

  • Paul Mugenda

Paul Mugenda

Paul Mugenda

Paul is the founder of Paris FX Kenya, a Forex educational hub for Kenyans seeking entry into the lucrative Forex industry in Kenya.

Unlike most international traders who genuinely make their money trading Forex, Paul Mugenda makes the most of his money as a money transfer agent for Deriv, a Forex trainer, and partly as an insurance agent in his Paris Fx subsidiary, Paris Insurance.

How much is Paul Mugenda worth?

Paul Mugenda’s worth is unknown, but some online sources cite it as around Ksh. 100,000,000.

  • Raymond Omosa (Kenyan Price on TikTok).

Raymond Omosa, popularly known as Kenyan Price, is arguably a rich Forex trader in Kenya with an unknown net worth.

In most of his TikTok videos, the Kenyan prince flaunts money, expensive phones, cars, and huge trading account balances. But, if not Forex, how does Kenya Prince make his money?

Does he make any of his money trading? No.

In one of his interviews with Oga Obinna, the Kenyan prince revealed himself to be a Forex scammer on Telegram. He sells fake bots and fake Forex signals. But it’s all in the Forex industry, right?

How much is Raymond Omosa worth?

In a recent interview on 2Mbilli TV, 2Mbilli asked the Kenyan Prince this question, and this is how he replied, “I am a millionaire; that is a fact. I don’t have a network, but I can dress well, eat what I want, and travel to whatever destination I want.”

In the same interview, the Kenyan prince showed 2Mbilli a Sh. 6 million balance. Watch the video below.

  • Esther Mofrey

Esther Mofray started as a Forex Youtuber in Kenya, doing content for her trading journey, analyzing the markets, and teaching people different trading strategies.

She later moved to TikTok, where she created a fast and loyal following, allowing her to launch her Forex trading classes massively in 2023.

Esther is synonymous with using Bible quotes to market her Forex classes and sharing huge Forex successes on TikTok.

My favorite line of hers is, “Guys, today I won 280K.”

But other than trading, how else does Esther make her money in the Forex industry?

You guessed right, she trains aspiring TikTokers on Forex trading and charges $400 per person for 2 weeks.

More often than not, she sells out her classes a month after the next.

How much is Esther Mofrey worth?

It’s not easy to tell, as Esther herself has not come out to tell us that if she liquidated all her assets, she would be worth X amount of money.

But from the look of things, Esther Mofrey is one of Kenya’s youngest Forex millionaires, and she is self-made.

  • Sylvia Muchai

Sylvia Muchai

Sylvia Muchai

Google that name, and you will immediately see the company she is associated with: Sylvia’s Traders Lounge. That’s her Forex company.

Other things that you might see upfront on the Google results are her educational background; she has a bachelor’s degree in finance, from Kenyatta University, and she is self-taught at BabyPips.

Like many aspiring traders, she tried many demo accounts from numerous Forex brokers before learning how to trade.

It does not come as a surprise that Sylvia is yet another Forex trader in Kenya who does not depend solely on Forex trading but also training.

How much is Sylvia Muchai worth?

It could be anything from sh. 10,000,000 to sh. 100,000,000. She hasn’t come out to tell us the exact figures yet.

  • Bonaventure Kebati (Director Trevor) & Mungai Eve

This might come as a surprise to many, being that this duo was not known for Forex trading even during the time that they were together, but yes, they also made millions in Forex in Kenya.

In a recent interview with the Iko Nini Podcast, Director Trever mentioned them making at least Ksh. 3,000,000 with the Forex Firm Hot Forex Markets per month, at their peak.

They achieved all these Forex successes by placing HFM affiliate links on their YouTube videos and other social media platforms.

In case you are new to this concept, Forex affiliate marketing is all about promoting brokers for a share of the profits they make from traders.

Like Trevor and Eve, you can make your first million doing the same thing. Promoting Forex brokers.

How much are Trevor and Eve worth?

It’s not easy to tell, but if they were making at least Ksh. 3,000,000 per month in 2023, then an estimate of Sh. 30,000,000 from Forex is well worth it.

  • Silah Obengi

The name Silah Obengi is synonymous with Nairobi Forex School, one of the leading forex education hubs in Kenya. Silah is also the founder and CEO of Meta Capital.

Other than earning in Forex as a trainer, Silah also earns as an introducing broker, most importantly, uses trading bots to trade, and also teaches his students about trading automation. A venture’s best online forex broker reports have earned him over $40 million.

Silah prefers trading with EGM securities to HFM, Paperstone, XM Group, IC Markets, OCT, AVA Trade, Moneta Markets, and other brokers popular in Kenya.

  • Samwel Mogaka Ondieki (Sammy Boy)

Sammy Boy is one of the most popular Kenyan traders and also arguably one of the richest if the wealth he flaunts on social media is anything to go by.

In some of his YouTube videos, he has shown his trade results on Deriv, a platform he claims he has used to make his Forex fortune.

According to WHO OWNS KENYA, a Kenyan blog looking at the wealth of Kenyans of value, Sammy Boy makes Ksh. 500,000 daily in forex.

But is it only forex trading that makes him money?

No. On his website, Sammy Boy has listed different bots trading from Ksh. 10,000 to Ksh. 15,000. He also sells Forex eBooks and makes money off his YouTube and Instagram channels.

If you ask me, Sammy Boy could be well worth over Ksh. 50,000,000, but this is just an estimate. The figure could be more; all his assets were liquidated and added.

  • Patrick Mahinge

Patrick Mahinge

Patrick Mahinge

Patrick Mahinge did not study any of the top university courses synonymous with Forex trading but he is now a household name in the Kenyan forex industry.

After studying journalism at Egerton University and achieving a lower-division degree, Patrick tried to have a life in journalism but failed.

He then moved to Forex and has since made a name for himself as a Forex trader.

Patrick is the founder of Kenya Forex Firm, an online Forex education hub that guides and trains new traders as well as helps manage their portfolios.

Other than trading and training, Patrick also makes his money as a forex blogger in Kenya, capitalizing on affiliate marketing and Google ads.

For his relentless approach to making Kenya a forex investment hub, he has been featured on CNBC Africa and Business Daily Africa.

Patrick, just like other successful Forex millionaires in Kenya, may be worth upwards of Ksh. 50,000,000; but this is just an estimated figure.

  • Kenn Omollo

Kenn Omollo

Kenn Omollo

There is no mention of binary options and forex trading in Kenya without mentioning Kenn Omollo. Kenn is the founder of this blog; Joon Online and the owner of many other local blogs in Kenya.

Other than Olymp Trade and Quotex, Kenn has introduced brokers like XM Forex, Binarium, IQ Option, Exnova, Sabio Trade, Quadcore Markets, Deriv and Pocket Options.

Kenn also prides himself in founding the first binary and Forex blog in Kenya reaching more than 1 million readers a year.

It is not known how much Kenn is worth, but he sure is making money from the Forex industry.

  • Sean Macharia

Seam Macharia closes our list of top 10 successful or if you like, rich Forex traders in Kenya. If you like, refer to him as the youngest Kenyan Forex millionaire.

At only 23 years of age, Sean has made his name as the youngest-ever general manager for a respected Forex firm.

At the time I was researching for this post, Sean was the GM of 51 Capital, a Forex trading company with roots in Kenya, and with position, comes money.

Kenya Reports Report Sean as a 22-YEAR-OLD KENYAN BILLIONAIRE!!!

If this is true then he might just be the richest forex trader and investor in this list.

Conclusion

Forex has created very many millionaires in Kenya, but not everyone you will see talking or writing about Forex online is a trader.

Take Trevor and Eve, for example. They make up to Ksh. 3,000,000 monthly. They even got an opportunity sponsored by HFM to visit Europe courtesy of Forex, but have they ever traded, NO! They are just affiliates.

The rest of the wagons on this list are either selling something or training for a fee. No one is earning from trading alone; there is something else on the side.

You, too, can take advantage of this industry and take what’s yours.

After all, forex is a $5 trillion per day market. And not even the most experienced trainer, scammer, trader, or affiliate can take all that money from the industry in a lifetime.

Conclusion

If you want to trade forex in Kenya, these are the best forex brokers to choose from. Recommended by rich forex traders in Kenya.
